Anastine Ken FIrst Nations Australian, b. 1993

Anastine Ken was born in 1993 in the Tjumra Homelands, South Australia in the Anangu Pitjantjatjara Lands.  Anastine paints for Tjala Arts, located in the Amata Community, in the far north west of SA. Tjala Arts painters adapt traditional Aboriginal symbols and designs into contemporary abstract imagery.  In this painting Anastine has depcited her country, Ngayuku Ngura, ("My Country" in PItjantjatjara) with the designs representing important features of the landscape.
